Short term counselling is available at WOMEN’S Healthworks for women over the age of 18 years. Individual counselling is offered for women seeking assistance for a variety of life challenges such as depression, anxiety, grief and loss, parenting, relationship distress, migration stress, work/life balance and confidence and self-esteem difficulties.
Counselling is centred around each individual’s desires and goals and offers an opportunity for women to increase awareness of the nature of the difficulties they are currently facing. Individual support is provided to assist woman to make choices to reach their potential and increase personal fulfillment.
The initial appointment with the WOMEN’S Healthworks counsellor will explore each woman’s unique situation to ensure that our counselling service is the most appropriate and beneficial to meet your needs. In some instances a referral to a more suitable service may be suggested.
Women seeking counselling at WOMEN’S Healthworks can call reception and will be placed on the waiting list for an initial appointment to meet with the counsellor. Our counselling service is limited and is only available three days per week. The wait for an initial appointment may be up to 3 months.
